Lynn Taitt (June 22, 1934 – January 20, 2010) was one of the pioneers of rhythm and is responsible for much of its identity. As a guitarist, he created the classical “picking” on the ropes, which became, in addition to its trademark, a normative element of routine in the recording of rocksteady. His unique style can be found in a variety of classics, and rarities, of Jamaican music. He arranged and recorded over 1,500 songs.
Tonight, at the Rocksteady Lounge, Nina and Viktor pay an homage to Rocksteady originator Lynn Taitt. R.I.P.
